Welcome to Taxr! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Taxr mobile application and website. By accessing or using Taxr, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Overview of Taxr

Taxr is an expense-tracking application designed to help users scan, categorise, and store invoices and receipts for tax and accounting purposes. The app allows users to:

  • Scan invoices and receipts.

  • Confirm details such as date, vendor name, vendor ABN, total amount, and GST.

  • Assign expenses to categories.

  • Store and view all recorded expenses.

  • Export a CSV file with expenses and receipts, including a secure link to receipt images, to share with an accountant or other financial professionals.

2. Eligibility

There are no age restrictions for using Taxr, as individuals under 18 in Australia may have taxable income and claim tax deductions. However, users are responsible for ensuring they comply with applicable tax laws and may seek guidance from a tax professional if needed.

3. Account Registration
  • To use Taxr, you must create an account by providing accurate information.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

  • You agree not to share your account with others or allow unauthorised access.

4. Data Storage and Privacy
  • Scanned receipts and invoices are securely stored.

  • Images of receipts are stored with complex, unguessable URLs, accessible only through the export function.

  • Your data will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.

5. Use of the App

You agree not to:

  • Use Taxr for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

  • Upload content that is misleading, illegal, or violates third-party rights.

  • Attempt to access data of other users.

  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or modify the application.

6. Exporting Expenses
  • Users can export expense data as a CSV file via email.

  • The exported file contains transaction details, categories, notes, and receipt image links.

  • Users are responsible for ensuring that they enter the correct recipient email address when sharing exported data.

7. Limitation of Liability
  • Taxr provides tools for tracking expenses but does not guarantee the accuracy of scanned data. Users must review and confirm details before saving.

  • Taxr does not provide financial or tax advice. Users should consult a professional for tax-related matters.

  • We are not responsible for any errors, data loss, or legal consequences resulting from incorrect use of the app.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, or engage in fraudulent activity.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
